Tony Awards performance: Kelli O’Hara reigns supreme in ‘The King and I’ (Video)

Broadway darling Kelli O’Hara finally prevailed with her sixth Tony Awards nomination in 11 years for her nuanced performance as schoolmistress Anna Leonowens in the acclaimed revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein‘s “The King and I.” This marks the fourth ritalto remounting of this classic that won Best Musical back in 1952. This production reaped nine nominations in all and won four, including Best Musical Revival.

O’Hara raised her sweet soprano in song on the Tonycast with renditions of “Getting to Know You” and “Shall We Dance?,” with the the latter including Best Actor contender Ken Watanabe. And Miles got her chance to shine with “Something Wonderful.”
