Mitch Pileggi (Assistant Director Walter Skinner) gets plenty of face time in the spoilery promo, and there’s even a jaw-dropping moment at the end featuring the voice of William B. Davis (the Cigarette-Smoking Man) rasping, “We have a small problem.”

Over the course of its nine seasons, “The X-Files” won 16 Emmys including Best Actress for Anderson, Best Writing for Darin Morgan (who returns as a writer/producer for the new limited series), Best Guest Actor for Peter Boyle and Best Main Title Design for its iconic opening sequence.
