‘Big Brother’ finale: Nicole Franzel wins half-million dollars, takes down Paul Abrahamian and James Huling

Big Brother” fans, did you correctly predict that Nicole Franzel would win the half-million dollar prize as the champion of Season 18? By taking down second-place Paul Abrahamian and third-place James Huling Wednesday night, Nicole became the first female winner in “Big Brother” history to prevail against a man in the Final 2 and the first woman since Rachel Reilly to claim the prize since Season 13 in 2011. Based on the racetrack odds derived from our readers’ predictions, James was correctly predicted to place third with 14/1 odds. However, we got first and second place wrong as we incorrectly gave Paul 10/11 odds to win and Nicole 3/1 odds to be the runner-up. See more odds and rankings right here.

Did Paul make a $500,000 mistake by taking Nicole with him to the Final 2 after he won Head of Household? Could he have won if he’d taken James to the finals instead? Be sure to sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts.

Congratulations to our reader Adam Assarian for being the only person to correctly predict the finishing order of the Top 6. Assarian predicted that Nicole would win, that Paul would place second, that James would place third, that Corey Brooks would place fourth, that Victor Arroyo would place fifth and that Natalie Negrotti would place sixth. To see where you rank, visit the full leaderboard right here or click the right-hand chart. If Assarian is eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
