‘Big Brother’ news: ‘Over the Top’ mini-season premieres September 28 on CBS All Access

Big Brother” crew members will only have one week to redecorate, clean up the beard shavings and wash the bed sheets before a new slew of houseguests moves in Sept. 28. While the current 18th season still has a few weeks to go before its finale airs on Sept. 21, we’re already excited for this mini-season, dubbed “Big Brother: Over the Top,” which will air exclusively on CBS All Access.

Unlike the normal show that rewards $500,000 to its ultimate winner, “Over the Top’s” grand prize will only be $250,000. Long-running host Julie Chen will return for the shorter-than-usual 10-week fall edition, which interestingly is not being dubbed as Season 19 of the reality staple. Instead, the 19th edition of “Big Brother” will air next summer on CBS, per usual.

There are currently six contestants left in the running to be Season 18’s champion: Corey Brooks, James Huling, Natalie Negrotti, Nicole Franzel, Paul Abrahamian and Victor Arroyo. Hurry — make your “Big Brother” predictions for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift certificate at season’s end.
