Our loving Christmas present to you: Dad sings Bing’s ‘White Christmas’

Every year for the past decade, I’ve posted this Yuletide treat at Gold Derby: this recording of my dear dad crooning Bing Crosby‘s version of “White Christmas.” Dad does it acapella and he does a damn good job. No wonder: Bing was his hero, so dad took delicate care to nail every quivver of voice, every warble and wink. Using past tense when writing here is heart-breaking because dad died on Sept. 27, just one day shy of his 92nd birthday. This is my family’s first-ever Christmas without him. We’re devastated here in Mentor,  Ohio, but, hey, look outside: It’s a white Christmas, so let’s all sing along with the much-missed greatest-dad-in-the-world Frank O’Neil
