Congratulations to Mira for a perfect score predicting the 2016 Cinema Audio Society Awards winners on Saturday. She actually tied with four other perfect scorers — Sergio R., Cederick, Teridax, and JackO — but had the best point total of 14,210 by using her 500 and 200 point bets wisely.
Over 600 people worldwide predicted the winners in five categories. The CAS voters chose “The Revenant” (feature film), “Inside Out” (animation), “Fargo” (TV movie/miniseries), “Game of Thrones” (TV one hour), and “Modern Family” (TV half hour) as their sound mixing champs.
You can see how your score compares to hers in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant’s predictions. Or you can find your score by clicking on “My Award Scores,” which appears in the gold menu bar when you’re signed in to your account.
For her efforts, Mira wins a $100 Amazon gift card, pending Gold Derby evaluating her eligibility based upon our contest rules.
For the five Experts predicting CAS winners, Matt Atchity (Rotten Tomatoes) and Edward Douglas (Weekend Warrior) are tied for the top with 60% correct (three of five categories). Three Experts are then tied with 40% accuracy: Joyce Eng (TV Guide), Tariq Khan (Fox News), and Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby).
Among Gold Derby’s five Editors, Marcus Dixon is best with 80% right (four of five categories). Daniel Montgomery and I are tied for second place with 60% correct. We then have a tie between Rob Licuria and Matt Noble at 40%.
