[WATCH] Emmys 2016: Blooper reel for opener with Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeb Bush …

Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the Emmy Awards on Sunday with a hilarious pre-taped segment of his misadventures after being stranded on his way to hosting the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater. On Monday’s edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he shared the blooper reel that was even funnier than the footage that made it to air (watch above).

Kimmel, who had all but lost his voice, croaked out an intro to the material that he referred to as “Boners and Boo-Boos.” Among the highlights:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale in full “Veep” mode as the president and her trusty sidekick making merry as they get up close and personal in the back of a limo;

one-time Republican nominee candidate Jeb Bush, who was driving said limo, having a tough time with his one-liners including these gems: “If you run a positive campaign, the voters will ultimately make the right choice” and “Shave that wig off your face, you Godless Hollywood hippie! Jeb exclamation point!”;

the Dunphys from “Modern Family,” led by Emmy winners Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen, dealing with a misfiring smoke bomb; and

Kimmel pairing with rival Emmy nominee and fellow late-night talk show host James Corden on a medley of Wham music but forgetting to sing.
