Now that we’ve seen Jimmy Kimmel‘s return engagement as host of the Emmy Awards, we want know how YOU thought he did this second time around. Was the late-night star brilliant, just okay or absolutely awful as the emcee of the 2016 Emmys? Take our new poll below.
Kimmel kicked off the three-hour kudocast with a fun pre-taped segment that saw him interacting with various nominees, including rival Variety Talk Series host James Corden, that was capped off by a cameo from presidential also-ran Jeb Bush.
His opening monologue was short but sassy, with jibes at some likely targets — Donald Trump, Marcia Clark — and some surprise ones (a long riff on Maggie Smith, who crossed the pond to collect both an Oscar and a Tony but not one of her three Emmys).
While Kimmel continued his faux feud with Matt Damon, who came out to console him after he lost to “Last Week Tonight,” other of his bits were short on laughs, including a mock introduction of Bill Cosby and a silly segment that saw him serving the stars sandwiches made by his mother. And then there was the clanger he dropped when he mocked the “In Memoriam” segment.
