Emmys 2016 nominations: Best prediction scores by our Editors and Users

Congratulations to our user Perfectly Weird for scoring very impressive 76.76% when predicting the 2016 Emmy Awards nominations on Thursday. Out of 142 nomination slots covering 24 categories, he got 109 correct and only missed 33 nominees. He also had a great point total of 12,513 by using the 500 and 200 point bets wisely. Very close to the top score with 76.06% are both dsps84 with 11,889 points and unbb24 with 8,623 points.

Almost 3,000 people worldwide predicted these nominees in these comedy, drama, movie/mini, reality and variety races. Our top scorer had several terrific picks, including all seven nominees for Best Comedy Series, Tracee Ellis Ross (“black-ish”) for Best Comedy Actress, Cuba Gooding, Jr. (“The People v. O.J. Simpson”) for Best Movie/Mini Actor, David Schwimmer and John Travolta (“The People v. O.J. Simpson”) for Best Movie/Mini Supporting Actor, and Ryan Seacrest (“American Idol”) for Best Reality Host.

Among Gold Derby’s Editors, Paul Sheehan and Marcus Dixon scored 73% correct. Daniel Montgomery and Tom O’Neil predicted 72% and then myself at 71%. Rob Licuria follows with 67% right and then Matt Noble with 64% accuracy.
