Gold Derby’s combined racetrack odds favor Malek to win the Golden Globe with 8/13 odds. USA’s freshman drama has taken the TV landscape by storm in recent months, with Malek earning nominations at the Globes, Critics’ Choice and SAG Awards. As mentally unstable computer hacker Elliot Alderson, Malek’s performance is one that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association may not be able to ignore.

Hamm (14/5 odds) has been waiting to give his Golden Globes speech for eight years, ever since he won for the first season of AMC’s “Mad Men” during the ceremony that didn’t air because of the writer’s strike. Will he now win a bookend trophy for the show’s closing season and finally have the chance to give his long-awaited Globes speech for playing ad man Don Draper?

Wagner Moura, star of Netflix’s “Narcos,” is in third place with 10/1 odds. This new series about Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar embraces the “foreign” aspect of the HFPA and voters may want to stand behind a show that’s not entirely in English. Also of note: Moura and Malek are the only nominees whose shows are also nominated, which indicates wider support.

Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul“) follows in fourth place with odds of 40/1. This “Breaking Bad” spinoff may face an uphill battle at the Globes considering it wasn’t until that show’s final season that the HFPA finally rewarded it. However, in Odenkirk’s favor is the fact that he’s a recent Emmy nominee and Critics’ Choice winner for his performance as slimy lawyer Jimmy McGill.

In fifth place to win with 66/1 odds is Liev Schreiber, who plays the titular “Ray Donovan.” The Globes have a unique relationship with this Showtime drama, as supporting player Jon Voight won in 2013 and Schreiber is on his third consecutive nomination, however “Ray Donovan” has never been nominated as Best Drama Series.
