Golden Globe TV Prediction Scores Lady Gaga Oscar Isaac Rachel Bloom

Congratulations to ChristopherK for a very good top score of 63.64% predicting the 2015 Golden Globe TV winners on Sunday. He actually tied with five other people — SnoopyJBK, BennyC, Hplummy68, EdwardTierney, and ErnestoAlonzo — but had the better point total of 14,055 by using his 500 and 200 point bets wisely.

Over 1,400 people worldwide predicted the winners in all 11 categories. Among our scoring champ’s best picks were  “Mozart in the Jungle” for Best Comedy Series, Rachel Bloom (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend“) for Best Comedy Actress, Lady Gaga (“American Horror Story: Hotel”) for Best TV Movie/Miniseries Actress, and Oscar Isaac (“Show Me a Hero) for Best TV Movie/Miniseries Actor.

Among the predictor groups, the best performance was a tie between by our Editors and Top 24 Users (those two dozen folks who had done the best predicting last year’s winners) with 35.36% accuracy. The overall Users were next with 27.27% right. The Experts bring up the rear with 18.18% correct. Click each link in the previous sentence or in our accuracy chart to see these scores for yourself.

For the 10 Experts predicting Globe TV winners, there is a tie at the top between Michael Hogan (Vanity Fair) and Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby) with 37% correct. Following them is a four-way tie for Matthew Jacobs (Huffington Post), Tariq Khan (Fox News), Tom O’Neil (Gold Derby), and Glenn Whipp (L.A. Times) with 28% correct.

Next up are Matt Atchity (Rotten Tomatoes), Keith Simanton (IMDB), and Peter Travers (Rolling Stone) with 19% accuracy. The final spot is held by Pete Hammond (Deadline) with 10% right.

Among the five Editors, Marcus Dixon and Rob Licuria are in first place with 55% correct. We then have a tie between Daniel Montgomery, Matt Noble and myself at 37%.
