“I always look out for the different trade publications to see where the voters heads are at,” Boadu explains about how he did so well predicting the Golden Globe film noms. “They usually have the dirt on how the Hollywood Foreign Press Assocation vote. That’s how I was able to predict that ‘Deadpool’ would do well.”

“‘La La Land’ is the obvious choice for Best Comedy/Musical,” Boadu notes about his predictions for what will win. “It’s a vibrant contemporary musical that happens to be an Oscar frontrunner. I see it taking 5/7 awards with both leads, song, and score (though I think ‘Lion’ is a sleeper there). ‘Moonlight’ is the critical smash of the season and I can’t see it losing with the competition it has in its category. It’ll also get a supporting acting win with Mahershala Ali and I have it winning screenplay and directing.”
