Inside Out” has big reason to celebrate this year. Besides earning an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature (where it’s Gold Derby’s frontrunner to win), “Inside Out” is also the ninth animated film in Academy Awards history to receive a nomination for its screenplay. Of the eight animated films to be nominated for either Best Original or Adapted Screenplay, none have prevailed.

As of this writing, “Spotlight” (2/11 odds) is the frontrunner to win the top prize based on our combined predictions, followed by “Inside Out” (11/1 odds) in second place.
