Thursday night the 15th season of “Project Runway” was whittled down from six designers to five with the added expectation, per Heidi Klum‘s suggestion, that four (not three) will be creating collections for the Fashion Week finale. Based on our readers’ predictions for “Bold Innovation,” Roberi Parra had the best odds (2/1) of being eliminated, with Cornelius Ortiz and Mah-Jing Wong right behind him. After reading our recap below, hurry and make your “Project Runway” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by predicting the finishing order of the final five.
With only six designers competing this week, half would be recognized as the best and half as the worst in the challenge. Despite leading our odds to be eliminated, Roberi was singled out as one of the three best designers of the episode, saving him from the chopping block. The other two top looks came from Rik Villa and Erin Robertson, who won the challenge (her third on the season), which left Cornelius, Mah-Jing and our odds-on frontrunner Laurence Basse on the bottom.
Facing the judges, Laurence was warned that she’s playing it too safe and needs to start thinking in bolder, riskier ways while Cornelius was cautioned that his taste-level was questionable despite impeccable construction. In the end, the quality of their work saved them over Mah-Jing who was sent home for a poorly executed, but well-thought out concept.
Congratulations to our reader Nathanroberts who scored perfect 100% predicting “Bold Innovation.” Nathan did the best at predicting the answers to this week’s contest questions: that Mah-Jing would be eliminated, that Erin would win the challenge, and that Cornelius would be in the bottom two.
