Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2017 first-time nominees poll: Pearl Jam vs. Tupac Shakur vs. Journey

Of the 19 artists nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, nine — Bad Brains, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane’s Addiction, Joan Baez, Journey, Pearl Jam, Steppenwolf and Tupac Shakur — are newcomers to this process. For Pearl Jam and Shakur, it’s also their first year of Hall of Fame eligibility (i.e, 25 years after their first record was released).

All our hoping to win over the group of 800 music industry pros who winnow the list down to just five acts for induction. The public is encouraged to have their say via the online “fan ballot.”
