Sarah Paulson has been nominated at the Emmys the last four years in a row, and 2016 is likely to bring her bids #5 and #6. According to Gold Derby’s Emmy predictions, Paulson will be nominated for both “The People v. O.J. Simpson” (in which she plays embattled prosecutor Marcia Clark) and “American Horror Story: Hotel” (as Hypodermic Sally, a ghost who haunts the Hotel Cortez). When I asked her about this possibility last week at the Paley Festival, Paulson joked, “That seems really crazy and like I’m a greedy, greedy person!” (Watch our red carpet chat below.)
Paulson would hardly be the first performer to earn two nominations in the same year. In fact, she would join an illustrious group that includes Stockard Channing, Jon Hamm, Idris Elba, Kathy Bates and Allison Janney, to name just a handful.
Here is a small sampling of recent double Emmy nominees, but you can see a much more expanded list in our famous forums, where Hollywood insiders hide behind cyber handles.
