[WATCH] ‘Scandal’ season 5 finale trailer: ‘No one will predict how it goes down’

Gladiators, we know you’re excited for tonight’s Season 5 finale of “Scandal.” After all, according to the new ABC trailer (watch above), “No one will predict how the season finale goes down.” Hmm, is that in regards to the show’s Presidential election between Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) and Fransisco Vargas (Ricardo Chavira), or Olivia Pope’s (Kerry Washington) love life, or something else entirely?

Here’s another reason to savor tonight’s finale, titled “That’s My Girl”: There’s a chance this will be the last episode to air within the 2016 calendar year. Washington’s real-life pregnancy will shorten Season 6 to only 16 episodes (down from 22) and could delay the premiere until early 2017.

Here’s the official description from ABC, which does include spoilers: “As each presidential candidate gets ready to announce their running mate, Olivia finds herself in a potentially dire situation. Meanwhile, Cyrus is presented with damaging information that could alter the presidential race entirely.”

At the Emmy Awards, “Scandal” has earned six nominations with back-to-back wins in the Best Drama Guest Actor category: Joe Morton in 2014 and Dan Bucatinsky in 2013. “Scandal” fans, sound off about the season finale the comments section below or right here in our famous TV forums.
