‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’ castoff Anna Khait: ‘I feel like I disappointed my fans’ (Podcast)

“There were a lot of fans and past contestants that reached out to me [and] picked me as their winner pick, and I feel like I disappointed them,” reveals the latest “Survivor: Kaoh Rong” castoff Anna Khait to Gold Derby about her elimination last night. “Unfortunately, there is luck involved in ‘Survivor’ and I lost the numbers when it came to the tribe swap.”

According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that were derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, Anna’s ouster was a major shocker as she only had 50/1 odds (2% chance) of being sent packing. That put her way down in eighth place on our elimination chart for Wednesday’s tribe swap episode, titled “The Devils We Know.”

“It was a little bit more than just a tribe swap,” Anna explains. “I was on a new tribe where there were three Brains, two Beauty, one Brawn. I am in a bad spot, but the extra twist where someone that got off the island — which was Julia Sokolowski — would return to the game after someone gets voted out really did me in. It’s really me or Tai Trang going home if we lost immunity, and then you add the extra element of Julia coming in to replace us, so people would be gunning for me the most more than Tai.”

However, Anna’s one saving grace was Tai’s hidden immunity idol. “So, Tai showed me the idol about half an hour before tribal. With my reads that I had on Tai, he was gonna use it. He was gonna do it, until Scot Pollard said something. So, Scot made his move and got me out.”

Also in our chat, Anna reveals who she wants to win the $1 million, what it was like watching Caleb Reynolds being evacuated, and how far her Beauty tribe could have made it in the game if the tribe swap never happened. Click the video above to listen to our Q&A podcast.
