[PHOTOS] ‘Survivor’ medevacs: 14 castaways (so far) had to be medically evacuated in 33 seasons

On the latest episode of “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X,” Hannah Shapiro required medical attention following a reward challenge despite not being an active participant in the challenge. Suffering from a panic attack brought on, in part, by a known anxiety condition, Hannah was luckily able to calm down with medical assistance and remain in the game. That even being on the sidelines of a challenge can cause a medical issue is of no surprise to a “Survivor” audience that has seen 14 players evacuated from the game over the course of 33 seasons due to medical conditions. Click through our photo gallery above highlighting all 14 castaways (so far) who had to be medically evacuated from the game.

Occurring at all stages of the game (including once in a season premiere and once in a season finale) and sometimes multiple times in one cast (four double-evacuation seasons and one triple-evacuation season), medevacs have an immediate and lasting impact on how the rest of the game is played.

Of the 14 medevac’ed castaways only one was a woman: Kourtney Moon from “Survivor: One World.” She broke her hand during the first episode of that season and never made it to Tribal Council. How far did the other 13 men last in their seasons? Find out by clicking through our photo gallery above right now.
