“Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X” fans, did you correctly predict who was blindsided in Episode 8? Based on our readers’ predictions, Jay Starrett (7/4 odds) and Michelle Schubert (7/2 odds) had the best chances of heading home in “I’m the Kingpin,” but how did the long-awaited merge twist the game? After reading our recap below, hurry and make your “Survivor 33” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by predicting who will be voted out next.
As the Ikabula tribe licks its wounds following Michaela Bradshaw‘s blindside at the hands of Jay and Will Wahl, a boat arrives letting them know that the merge has arrived. All 13 castaways meet up at the former Takali beach and have the ritual merge feast. Soon, Adam Klein notices that Taylor Stocker is stealing food and so he uses the opportunity to apologize once again for voting out Taylor’s girlfriend Figgy and to reveal that he found an advantage that will allow him to steal someone’s reward. But Taylor uses the information against Adam by going to Jay and hatching a plan to oust the superfan.
After Will wins immunity in a hard-fought endurance battle against Jessica Lewis, Adam considers using his hidden immunity idol to save himself because he believes he’s on the chopping block. But his fellow nerd alliance of Zeke Smith and Hannah Shapiro help rally the Gen X troops and they wind up having a majority of the numbers. The only question they have is whether to vote out Jay or his ally Michelle. Since the group believes Jay may have an idol, they decide to throw all of their votes for Michelle, and the fan-favorite player is unceremoniously blindsided.
