[PHOTOS] ‘The Walking Dead’ Thanksgiving: Top 10 cast members as holiday food dishes

When the characters on “The Walking Dead” aren’t fighting walkers, they’re trying to find something to eat. Food and bullets are like currency to those living in the post-apocalyptic south. So in honor of the beautiful scene of Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) with the rest of the cast at the end of the Season 7 opener sharing a meal, please enjoy our above photo gallery of what each cast member’s spirit dish would be for Thanksgiving.

Food has played a large part in the show. When we first met Daryl (Norman Reedus) in Season 1, he was trying to convince a group of followers that a deer was still edible after walkers had been feasting on parts. Baby formula is how Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the gang were first introduced to Michonne (Danai Gurira) back in Season 3. Carl (Chandler Riggs) in his most kid-like moment ate a huge can of chocolate pudding in Season 4. Carol (Melissa McBride) used homemade cookies to threaten a child in Season 5.

On two separate occasions the show has introduced characters that survived by being locked in different locations with large quantities of food: in Season 3 it was the inmates at the prison, and in Season 5 Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam) locked himself in his church conveniently after a canned food drive. No list would be complete without the short-lived cannibals from Terminus introduced at the end of Season 4.
