“This Is Us” premiered on NBC on Tuesday night, September 20, with critics already enthusiastically on-board. The public anticipation was also high, thanks in part to a closely guarded secret twist ending that was finally revealed to viewers.
SPOILER ALERT: The expectant couple played by Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore are actually flashbacks to the parents of the adult siblings played in the present day by Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley and Chrissy Metz.
Did you think the payoff was worth the anticipation? And how do you think the story will play out now that the secret of the story is out? Read a couple of our forum posters’ comments below, and click here to join the discussion.
moviefan61794: This was already my most anticipated show of the fall before I saw the pilot episode, and it did not disappoint … I’m expecting really great things for this show.
WildforFilm: I saw this at an early screening and loved it so much I watched again tonight with friends. This was an AMAZING pilot and I hope NBC keeps this show. I want to wait to discuss until more people have seen it. If your heart still has a void left from “Parenthood” and “Friday Night Lights,” “This is Us” is here to fill that void.
