The Critics’ Choice Awards air live on Sunday, December 11 from the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on A&E. The 22nd annual edition of this ceremony will be hosted by comedian T.J. Miller.

The Critics’ Choice Awards will be available to cable and satellite subscribers on both AETV.com and through the A&E app. And the Critics’ Choice pre-show, which is set to take viewers both backstage and onto the red carpet starts at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT on A&E’s Facebook page.

Oscar frontrunner “La La Land” scored a whopping 12 nominations for the Critics’ Choice Awards. Close behind with 10 bids apiece are “Arrival” and “Moonlight” followed by “Manchester by the Sea” at eight and “Hacksaw Ridge” with seven. All of these compete for Best Picture as do six-time nominees “Fences,” “Hell or High Water ” and “Lion” and four-time contenders “Loving and “Sully.”

These prizes bestowed by the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. (BFCA) are renowned as one of the best barometers for predicting the Oscars. Over their 21-year history, these awards have previewed 13 Best Picture Oscar winners as well as 16 Best Director, 14 Best Actor, 12 Best Actress, 11 Supporting Actor and 14 Supporting Actress champs.
