[WATCH] Emmy predictions slugfest: Lynette Rice (EW), Ken Tucker (Yahoo) and Tom O’Neil (Gold Derby) on top drama series races

“I think it’s ‘Game of Thrones’ — It’s almost inevitable,” says Ken Tucker (Yahoo) in our Emmy predictions webcam slugfest (watch above) with Lynette Rice (Entertainment Weekly) as we size up the likely winner of the race for Best Drama Series.  “I’m hoping that this is a ‘Mr. Robot’ vs. ‘Game of Thrones’ year, but you can’t count out stuff like ‘Downton Abbey’ winning” for its final season.

Rice and I believe that a certain Netflix program poses a big challenge to “Thrones,” which ruled last year. “I think it’s between ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘House of Cards,'” she says. “‘House of Cards’ has been under-appreciated by Emmy and – damn it! — it’s time.”

I agree with Tucker that “Mr. Robot” is also seriously in the running, too. “When you combine all of the hype behind it and the quality behind it, I think it has momentum,” he adds.

Please pardon the audio static problen that I encounter about 10 minutes into the video. At least Rice and Tucker continue to sound crystal clear, cheery, wise and cheeky throughout.
