Emmys 2017: Have we uncovered the top secret complete ceremony rundown with genre format abandoned?

Have we uncovered the top secret ceremony rundown for Sunday’s Emmys hosted by Stephen Colbert on CBS? A newly available downloadable ballot on the Television Academy website has all 27 categories in no logical order, unless this truly is the actual slate for the three-hour show. Unlike any other year, program producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner have been particularly secretive for the Emmy Awards 2017 and have not allowed any media or photographers inside the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles to take pictures of seat cards. Based on those past previews, we have often been able to figure out the ceremony order with the letters in the corner of the cards (“A1” means Award 1, “A15” means Award 15, etc.).

For the past seven years since Jimmy Fallon hosted on NBC in 2010, producers have opted for presenting the ceremony in genre groups. All of those shows have led off with all four comedy acting awards along with directing and writing. If our detective work is correct, take a look at the probable rundown below which leads the program off with Drama Supporting Actor, then Comedy Supporting Actress, and then skips around with no rhyme or reason. The two Creative Arts Emmys ceremonies last weekend were also presented in similar nonsensical manners.

Here are the 27 categories to be presented on Sunday (probably in the following order according to the official ballot):

1. Drama Supporting Actor
2. Comedy Supporting Actress
3. Movie/Limited Series Supporting Actress
4. Comedy Directing
5. Variety Sketch Series
6. Drama Writing
7. Comedy Supporting Actor
8. Movie/Limited Series Directing
9. Movie/Limited Series Supporting Actor
10. Variety Series Writing
11. Drama Supporting Actress
12. Comedy Writing
13. Reality Competition Program
14. Drama Directing
15. Movie/Limited Series Writing
16. Variety Series Directing
17. Variety Talk Series
18. Comedy Actor
19. Comedy Actress
20. Comedy Series
21. Movie/Limited Series Actor
22. Movie/Limited Series Actress
23. TV Movie
24. Limited Series
25. Drama Actor
26. Drama Actress
27. Drama Series
