2018 SAG TV snubs: 22 heartbreakers include ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,’ Freddie Highmore, 3/4 of ‘Will & Grace’ cast …

Nominations for the 24th Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Wednesday, December 13, and while many TV contenders earned expected bids, several shows and stars were left out. Leading our list of heartbreaking snubs is the entire cast of Netflix’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” After getting in last year, Ellie Kemper and Tituss Burgess have now been skunked, along with ensemble members Carol Kane and Jane Krakowski.

Freddie Highmore also failed to earn a nom from his fellow actors. He was just recognized by the Critics’ Choice Awards for “Bates Motel” and the Golden Globes for “The Good Doctor,” but SAG members didn’t nominate either performance. And while Sean Hayes scored a bid for the revival of “Will & Grace,” the rest of his cast — Debra Messing, Eric McCormack and Megan Mullally — were ignored.

The Screen Actors Guild Award winners will be revealed during a live telecast January 21 on TNT/TBS beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT and hosted for the first time by “The Good Place” star Kristen Bell.
