‘America’s Got Talent’: Darci Lynne Farmer on ‘Little Big Shots’ before ‘AGT’ [VIDEO]

Darci Lynne Farmer is the frontrunner to win “America’s Got Talent” this summer. This 12-year-old singing ventriloquist was the breakout star of the first audition episode of season 12 of “AGT” when she performed a duet with her puppet Petunia the rabbit. Their rendition of “Summertime,” the ballad from the George Gershwin opera “Porgy & Bess,” was so moving that Mel B hit her Golden Buzzer and sent Farmer straight through to the live shows.

Not surprisingly this Oklahoma City native was also a sensation on the first live quarterfinal on August 15. Farmer introduced a new puppet, Oscar the mouse, who professed his love for Mel B. Indeed, he was so smitten that he sang The Jackson 5‘s “Who’s Lovin’ You” in her honor.

Farmer will be featured on one of the upcoming “AGT” semifinals. She may well bring along another of her puppets, Katie the singing cowgirl. That was the one that was by her side when she appeared on the British version of “Little Big Shots” earlier in 2017. Watch her have fun with the host Dawn French in the video above.
