‘America’s Got Talent’: Colin Cloud didn’t cross line with Simon Cowell murder stunt, say 71% of readers

Mind reader Colin Cloud made it through to the “America’s Got Talent” semifinals despite causing controversy with his act on the third live episode of “AGT” on Aug. 29. He had the show’s executive producer and head judge join him onstage and revealed that he was going solve “the murder of Simon Cowell!” At the end of his routine (which you can watch above), Cowell’s rival judge Mel B stabbed him with a knife, which was revealed to be rubber.

We asked if this routine was a tasteless joke or all in good fun, and a whopping 71% of respondents went with the latter. If you haven’t voted in our poll yet, be sure to do so at the bottom of this post and then sound off in the comments section.

Of the other 11 acts to compete on the the third quarterfinals, six others also made it through to the semifinals that begin on Sept. 5: Sara Carson and Hero, DaNell Daymon & Greater Works DiavoloChase Goehring, Kechi Okwuchi and Mike Yung. Do you think any of these lucky seven will win “AGT” this season and take home the $1 million grand prize?
