‘America’s Got Talent’ winners: Grace VanderWaal was the rightful champ of Season 11, say 83% of fans

In our recent poll asking whether Grace VanderWaal was the rightful winner of “America’s Got Talent” Season 11, a whopping 83% of fans voted yes. The 12-year-old singer-songwriter/ukulelist earned last year’s confetti shower on September 14, 2016 and has since signed a deal with Columbia Records that resulted in the December release of first EP, “Perfectly Imperfect.” VanderWaal then took home the 2017 Radio Disney Music Award for Best New Artist.

It turns out the results of our poll weren’t even close. To compare, VanderWaal’s Season 11 “AGT” singing competitor Brian Justin Crum nabbed just 8% of the vote, while mentalist duo The Clairvoyants only earned 6% support. Crum released a cover of Robyn‘s “Show Me Love” back in December and currently can be seen performing at various venues around the country. And The Clairvoyants continue impressing audiences with their artful mind reading at stages across America.

VanderWaal is now the sixth singer to win “Americas Got Talent” following Bianca Ryan, Neal E. Boyd, Kevin Skinner, Michael Grimm and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. The other five champs have a vast array of talents: ventriloquists Terry Fator and Paul Zerdin, dog trick team Olate Dogs, experimental dancer Kenichi Ebina and magician Mat Franco. Who might win this season of “AGT”? So far there have been three Golden Buzzers awarded in Season 12: Howie Mandel chose formerly blind singer Christian Guardino, Simon Cowell picked deaf singer Mandy Harvey and Mel B honored ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer. Who will round out the list as Heidi Klum‘s Golden Buzzer act and be sent straight through to the live shows? Keep watching “AGT” Tuesdays on NBC to find out.
