If the news that the “Avatar” sequels are gearing up production got you excited to revisit the world of Pandora, you won’t have to wait until James Cameron gets the first of a planned three films in cinemas next year. Walt Disney World in Orlando is opening two “Avatar”-themed rides on May 27. One is a river ride, the other a chance to travel on a Banshee just like the Na’vi do in the movie.

Teaser trailers for both rides have landed online. While rolling down the river on a raft, as seen below, looks like something we have seen before, the chance to soar on a big bird is mighty attractive. The imagineers at the house that Walt built must have worked overtime to devise this awe-inspiring ride seen above.

No word yet on whether Cameron or any of the cast will be at the opening over Memorial Day weekend. We do know that the Oscar-winning director (“Titanic”) has been hard at word on plotting out the sequels to his 2009 blockbuster. And we hear tell that leading man Sam Worthington pumped to return to the role of astronaut Jake Sully, who at the end of the first film joined the Na’vi tribe on Pandora to be with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana).
