Billboard Music Awards: Celine Dion soars with ‘My Heart Will Go On’ to celebrate ‘Titanic’ 20th anniversary [WATCH]

Celine Dion performed the Oscar-winning theme song to “Titanic,” “My Heart Will Go On,” during the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary. This soaring anthem was the best-selling single of 1998 and won Dion three Billboard Music Awards back then.

Dion took to the stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and was every inch the diva in both dress and delivery. Enveloped in a gown with some of the puffiest sleeves ever seen, this French-Canadian chanteuse belted out this ode to lost love as scenes from James Cameron‘s Best Picture champ played behind her.

When the Billboard Music Awards announced her appearance, Dion readily admitted, “I’m more than thrilled. I’m ecstatic, and very honored to be here.” Last year, she appeared on the show in much different circumstances, accepting the Icon Award just months after her husband Rene Angelil had died of cancer. After she sang the Queen hit “The Show Must Go On,” her son presented her with that prize. Cher was honored with that award this year.
