Julie Chen recently announced that “Celebrity Big Brother” will premiere on CBS this winter, and fans can’t wait. A staggering 60% of readers who voted in our recent poll declared they are “so excited” for the reinvention of the summer’s most popular reality TV competition. Another 26% said they would reserve judgment until it airs, while just 14% feel it is a “terrible idea.” Do you agree or disagree with these poll results? And who do you hope pops up as “Celebrity Big Brother” cast members? Sound off in the comments section.
There has been no news confirming the premiere date or casting, but one could only imagine it would rival other celebrity-fueled reality series such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “Celebrity Apprentice.” Several famous faces have crossed the pond to partake in the British version of “Celebrity Big Brother,” which debuted in 2001 and has wrapped up more than 20 seasons. The most successful American import on that series was Season 14 champ Gary Busey.
Other recognizable names that have taken part in the hit UK version include former NBA all-star Dennis Rodman (Season 4, seventh place), rapper Coolio (Season 6, third place), President Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump (Season 7, seventh place), “RuPaul’s Drag Race” staple Michelle Visage (Season 15, 6th place) and the always zany La Toya Jackson (Season 6, seventh place).
Who do you think will be cast to bring the drama to an all-time high in the USA’s first foray into “Celebrity Big Brother”? The fans are ready and waiting!
