Nick Lachey has been steadily improving in his scores on “Dancing with the Stars” this season, but not quite enough. The rest of the field has been improving as well, and they’ve begun to outpace Nick, whose younger brother Drew Lachey actually won the Mirror Ball Trophy way back in season two of the series. Last week on “Most Memorable Year Night” Nick landed at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard with a score of 22 out of 30, and now our users think it’s time for him to face the music. He’s the frontrunner for elimination.
As of this writing Nick gets leading odds of 8/11, which translates to a 58% chance of elimination. But are we underestimating him? He has had relatively low scores throughout the season but has survived each week, which may indicate strong support from the voting public. And since “Most Memorable Year” was his first night at the bottom of the leaderboard, his fans may have been especially mobilized to support him. That happens often on “DWTS.” In fact, only one bottom-scorer has been eliminated this season so far: Barbara Corcoran, the first who went home.
But last week’s leaderboard was incredibly close. After Lachey, there was a six-way tie for the next lowest score between Drew Scott, Frankie Muniz, Terrell Owens, Nikki Bella, Sasha Pieterse, and Nick’s wife Vanessa Lachey. So this week’s show will be a revealing test of which celebs really have audience support and which don’t.
