Broadway actor Jordan Fisher‘s lead in our “Dancing with the Stars” predictions just keeps growing. He received another perfect score during the semifinals thanks to an “Iconic” jive that earned him comparisons to pros Derek Hough and Mark Ballas. Tonight is the last chance for any of Fisher’s competitors to try to challenge him before the Mirror Ball Trophy is handed out on Tuesday night, but it’s looking less and less likely according to our predictions.
As of this writing Fisher gets leading odds of 4/9, which translates to a 70% chance of winning the season. Those are his best odds yet, so he seems to be peaking at exactly the right time. His closest challenger, violinist Lindsey Stirling, has a lot of ground to cover if she wants to reclaim her frontrunner status. She holds onto second place with 4/1 odds, or a 21% chance of upsetting Fisher. But all bets are off if she can nail her freestyle dance, and her partner Ballas is known for his innovative choreography and for planning routines that are especially well suited to Stirling’s skills and personality.
Former “Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz maintains third place with 16/1 odds, or a 6.1% chance of winning the Mirror Ball Trophy. He’s definitely an underdog, but “DWTS” fans often love an underdog story. That could also help HGTV “Property Brothers” host Drew Scott, a surprise finalist who gets 40/1 odds, or a 2.6% chance of pulling off one of the biggest upsets in “DWTS” history.
