Broadway star Jordan Fisher had a historic run in season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars.” He was a judges’ favorite from the very beginning, and by the midpoint of the season he started to run away with the competition, receiving 10s more often than not. In the end, Fisher received more perfect scores (nine) than anyone else in “DWTS” history, and he received the sixth best average score for any contestant ever. When he accepted the Mirror Ball Trophy on November 21 he also became the youngest man ever to do so at age 23. So does that make him the best winner of all time? Yes, according to our readers. Scroll down for our complete poll results.
We asked our readers to name the best Mirror Ball champion of all time out of all 25 winners to date, and Fisher’s fans came out in force, putting him on top by a dramatic margin. Almost half of all respondents (43%) picked Fisher as the best “DWTS” winner in the history of the show. It was such a blowout that only one other past Mirror Ball champ received support in the double-digits.
Season 18 winner Meryl Davis received 12% of the vote. She appeared on “DWTS” immediately after she and her ice-dancing partner Charlie White won the Olympic gold medal at the Sochi games in 2014. She and White both competed on “DWTS,” though White didn’t make it quite as far, finishing fifth.
Tied in third place in our poll are conservationist Bindi Irwin (season 21), who was one of the youngest female winners at age 17, and Nyle DiMarco (season 22), who made history as the first and only deaf contestant to win the show. Both had support from 6% of our readers.
