Nick Lachey‘s elimination from “Dancing with the Stars” season 25 last Monday night leaves eight celebrities in the competition, and while Lindsey Stirling and Jordan Fisher have been the two frontrunners all season, the other six are fairly evenly matched, which puts the pressure on all of them to perform at their best, because one misstep on the dance floor could make all the difference between making the finals and finishing in eighth place.
So there’s a lot riding on “Halloween Night” this coming Monday, October 30. And the pressure is heightened even more by the fact that the celebrities will have to learn two routines instead of just one. Their first dances will be the usual: a new routine in a previously unlearned dance style between the celebs and their pro partners. The second dance, however, will bring the celebs together in two teams of four, so they will all need to work together to keep their scores up.
The first team will consist of Stirling and Fisher along with Nikki Bella and Terrell Owens. The second team comprises Frankie Muniz, Vanessa Lachey, Drew Scott, and Victoria Arlen. On paper those teams seem unevenly stacked; the first team has the four highest scoring dancers from last week’s show, including both of this season’s frontrunners. But it’s not all about pure dance skill. Team routines are typically also judged on their creativity, the quality of their choreography, and the synchronicity of the contestants. So it’s hard to know just what combination of celebrities will contribute to the best possible dance based on their past performances alone.
