‘Dancing with the Stars’: Did Terrell Owens & Kelly Monaco make a love connection with their trio dance? [WATCH]

“You’ve gotta get those hips ready for Kelly Monaco,” said pro dancer Cheryl Burke to her celebrity partner Terrell Owens on “Dancing with the Stars.” On “Trio Night” the remaining six couples were each joined by a special guest for trio routines, and Burke and Owens were performing a sensual rumba with Emmy nominated “General Hospital” star Monaco, who won the first ever Mirror Ball Trophy back in 2005 when the show first premiered. And the chemistry between them seemed, shall we say, strong. “Kelly is very beautiful, and I heard she is single,” said Owens. And Monaco commented, “That man is sculpted out of heaven.” So while Owens was eliminated from the competition at the end of the night, maybe he’ll at least get a date out of it. Judge Len Goodman said that the rumba didn’t suit Owens’s personality as well as the Charleston he performed at the beginning of the night, but “I thought you did a great job with Kelly. It all came together. You were moving across the room like a Frisbee from one to the other.” Bruno Tonioli added, “You definitely brought sexy back … Lots of side-by-side, well handled, a little bit more rumba.” And Carrie Ann Inaba concluded, “This is a testament to how far you’ve come in this competition what I’m going to say: I wanted to see more movement, a little bit more choreography. It wasn’t as challenging as it could have been for you, but it was certainly well performed.”

So it wasn’t quite a blockbuster dance. It received straight 8s from the judges for a total of 24 out of 30, but on his last night of the competition it wasn’t a bad dance to go out on. Let us know what you thought by voting in our poll below and making your predictions for next week’s show here.
