Emmys 2017 winners: Best prediction scores by our Editors and Users

Congratulations to our User Jessica for a terrific score of 92.59% when predicting the 2017 Emmy Awards winners on Sunday. She is actually tied with Movieguy and James William at that score but has a better point score of 8,110 by using the 500 super bets wisely.

Over 2,700 people worldwide predicted these Emmys champs in 27 categories for the ceremony hosted by Stephen Colbert on CBS and held in downtown Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater. Our top scorer got 25 of the 27 categories correct. In fact, her only two misses were Thandie Newton (“Westworld) over actual winner Ann Dowd (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and “Big Little Lies” over actual champ “Black Mirror” for Best Movie/Mini Writing.

You can see how your score compares to all others in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant’s predictions. to see your own scores, go to the User menu in the top right corner of every page of Gold Derby when you’re signed in to the site. For Gold Derby’s Editors, Paul Sheehan is the best with 85.19% (23 out of 27 categories). Daniel Montgomery and I are in the second spot with 74.07% correct. Rob Licuria is next at 66.67%. Marcus Dixon follows with 62.96%, and then Tom O’Neil with 55.56% and Matt Noble with 51.85%. See Editors’ leaderboard.
