Evan Peters (‘AHS: Cult’): Is Kai Anderson his best ‘American Horror Story’ character of all time? [POLL]

As one of the original stars of FX’s anthology series “American Horror Story,” Evan Peters has played everyone from a teenage ghost to an alien abductee to a 1920s serial killer. But his current role on “AHS: Cult” as Kai Anderson, a politically persuasive cult leader, may be his greatest character to date. At least, that’s what “AHS” showrunner Ryan Murphy believes. Do you agree? Vote in our poll below after taking a look back at Peters’ many different “American Horror Story” characters.

Tate Langdon in “American Horror Story: Murder House” (2011)
Teenage ghost Tate was one of the breakout characters of the very first season of “AHS.” After he murdered more than a dozen students at his school, the sociopathic character was killed by police and he then became a ghost that haunted the murder house.

Kit Walker in “American Horror Story: Asylum” (2012)
A former alien abductee, Kit was sentenced to Briarcliff when he was believed to be the serial killer known as Bloody Face. But in reality, Kit was an innocent man. At the asylum Kit became the victim of sadistic experiments by an evil doctor, until he eventually escaped.

Kyle Spencer in “American Horror Story: Coven” (2013)
Fraternity student Kyle, a victim of sexual abuse, was killed in a bus crash and then resurrected as a sort of Frankenstein zombie by the young witches. He eventually served as the guard of the coven, protecting the witches from outsiders.

Jimmy Darling in “American Horror Story: Freak Show” (2014)
“Lobster Boy” Jimmy, who suffered from syndactyly, was a leading member of the freak show and the son of the bearded lady and the strong man. Near the end of the season his hands were removed and replaced with wooden claws, and then he fell in love with the two-headed woman.

James Patrick March in “American Horror Story: Hotel” (2015)
Perhaps Peters’ most devilish role yet, Mr. March was a serial killer from the 1920s who returned to haunt the Hotel Cortez. His claim to fame was committing a series of murders based on the Ten Commandments, and after his death he worked with another man to continue the plan.

Rory Monahan in “American Horror Story: Roanoke” (2016)
Rory was a struggling actor whose most infamous role was playing Edward Phillipe Mott in the TV sensation “My Roanoke Nightmare.” When the cast reunited for a shaky-cam sequel series, Rory returned to Roanoke with his wife where he ended up being the first person killed.

Kai Anderson in “American Horror Story: Cult” (2017)
After Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, Kai decided to take under-privileged people under his wing and created a new cult. To spread fear throughout the community, they dressed up as clowns and murdered people who did them wrong.
