‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ returns to tackle Donald Trump’s voter suppression scheme [WATCH]

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” returned on July 19 for her first new episode since June. It was also her first new show since earning an impressive seven Emmy nominations on July 13, including Best Variety Talk Series and several bids for the show’s variety special “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.” But there’s never a dull moment in the Donald Trump administration, so there was plenty to talk about, from health care to Russia controversies, but Bee devoted her top segment to voter suppression — specifically, Trump’s Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, which was surprisingly not named by George Orwell.

“Today he got to lurch out from behind an orgy of flags and solve our national epidemic of voter fraud,” said Bee. “Those mythical three million illegal voters are the president’s obsession, his white whale — although if the whale were white, Trump would be a lot less concerned about it voting.” The show turned its attention to the members of the commission, including Kris Kobach from Kansas — Bee placed special emphasis on the K’s. He’s a birther who claimed Barack Obama was born in Kenya and thus was an illegitimate president, the same racist claim that help fuel Donald Trump‘s political rise. “Kobach’s voter fraud snipe hunt even earned him a place in the very exclusive Too-Out-There-For-Fox-News Club.”

Find out more about Kobach and the rest of his deplorable voter-suppression dream team above. And let us know if you think “Full Frontal” will win the Emmy for Best Variety Talk Series.
