‘Game of Thrones’: Who was your favorite fighter of the first six seasons? [POLL]

In the first six seasons of “Game of Thrones” we have seen some fearsome fighters. But who was the best of the bunch in the many battles? At the bottom of this post is a poll where you can vote for your favorite swordsman of the first six seasons. We will update this poll at the end of season seven. (And be sure to weigh in with your pick for best baddie on “GoT” too.)

While the list includes all of the obvious choices like Jon Snow (Kit Harington) , we’ve added the option of “Other.” If you click that, be sure to add your choice in the comments section and tell us why they are your favorite. Among those characters included in the poll are the following:

Barristan Selmy (Ian McElhinney) was held in high regard for his swordsmanship before falling. Likewise, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) was once one of the best but hasn’t been able to return to his former glory. Speaking of Jaime, Ned Stark (Sean Bean) managed to hold his own against the Lannister so he could be an option, as could Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) who beat Jaime in single combat. And Brienne also overcame the Hound in season 5.

Sandor’s brother Gregor (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) eventually managed to triumph over Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) in Tyrion’s trial by combat.  Had Oberyn had just finished the job as soon as he could’ve, the Dornishman would still be with us. The Mountain remains a huge threat, though, with even Bronn refusing to take his chances against the older Clegane brother.
