‘General Hospital’: Fan-favorites Kimerly McCullough and Brooklyn Rae Silzer return

Based on a recent tweet from “General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini, fans of the ABC soap can look forward to the return of two fan-favorites: Kimberly McCullough as Robin Scorpio and Brooklyn Rae Silzer as her daughter Emma. Valentini didn’t tweet the specifics, but Michael Fairman on Soaps speculates that they’re coming back for the annual Nurses’ Ball, which “GH” originally introduced in 1994 to raise awareness for HIV and AIDS, but which is also a golden opportunity for dramatic twists during May sweeps.

McCullough has played Robin off and on ever since she was introduced in 1985 at the age of seven. The character became famous in the early 1990s when Robin’s boyfriend Stone died of AIDS and she was diagnosed with HIV. Over the course of her run McCullough won two Daytime Emmys for Best Younger Actress (1989, 1996) out of six nominations.

Similarly, Silzer was introduced to “GH” at an early age. She joined the show in 2011 and played Emma until 2016 when Robin moved with her family to Berkeley, California. Last year Silzer earned a Best Younger Actress Emmy nomination of her own at age nine.
