Nominees for the 60th Grammy Awards were announced by the recording academy on Nov. 28 starting with the top four general field categories on “CBS This Morning.” The complete list of nominees in dozens more categories was subsequently announced on Grammy.com.

The general field categories — Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist — are the top prizes that award the best in music across all genres, though the recording academy tends to prefer bestselling pop and rock acts like past winners Adele, Taylor Swift, and Mumford and Sons.
The 60th annual Grammy Awards will air live on CBS from Madison Square Garden on Jan. 28, 2018 and be hosted for the second year in a row by Emmy winner James Corden (“Late, Late Show”). This will be the first Grammys held in New York City since 2003.
