7:59 p.m. – Previously, on “Hell’s Kitchen”! Back in the seventh episode, Ramsay had the six weakest chefs compete in a Cook For Your Life Challenge. In the end, Robyn Almodovar and Giovanni Filippone did the worst jobs in preparing oysters, and Ramsay asked Giovanni to turn in his jacket and leave “Hell’s Kitchen.” Who will be following him out the door this week?
8:10 p.m. – Elise Harris is making sure Michelle Tribble feels her wrath after Michelle sent her into an elimination round last week. As if she just realized she was in a competition, Elise has vowed that she is now “in it to win it.” Meanwhile, in the “Hell’s Kitchen Jungle” the chefs were instructed their next challenge would be cooking with exotic meats: boar, venison and elk. The contestants then had to search through the jungle and search for ingredients they hoped would enhance their dishes. The teams now have 45 minutes to make the most stunning dish.
8:22 p.m. – Ramsay introduced a couple of guest judges to help him decide the challenge winners. Van Hurd won the boar round for the Blue Team. Elise made good on her promise and won the venison dish for the Red Team. It all comes down to the elk dish. Robyn pulled it out for the Blue Team. They won a trip to a beautiful mountain retreat where they would enjoy a gluttonous amount of caviar. The Red Team got to scrub toilets and showers back in the dorm.
8:28 p.m. – Michelle attempted to make nice with Elise and apologized for hurting her feelings. Elise was not interested in hearing it and gave her another tongue lashing. Hopes for burying the hatchet before the service challenge appear to be dashed.
8:38 p.m. – The Blue Team appears to be on a roll as they cruise through the first portion of the service challenge. Elise is struggling with her appetizer but Jennifer Normant is showing her the way despite their rocky history. John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls shows up to grab a bite and has a few of the competitors star struck. The Blue Team continued their momentum by delivering perfect entrees to the diners. Meanwhile, the Red Team continued to struggle as their communication fell apart. Manda Palomino forgot to cook one of the main proteins. Then, after Ramsay cut into one of the Red Team’s entrees and discovered a bloody, raw mess, he called the ladies into the pantry for what is sure to be an intense scolding.
8:44 p.m. – “It’s FU**!!# raw!” Oh man, that’s no good. The Red Team is in shambles and the Blue Team is running the kitchen like a well-oiled machine. Michelle and Barbie Marshall were trying to get the meat station in order, but Michelle allowed some raw chicken to be sent out to the dining room. What a mess! Elise is loving Michelle’s constant failure tonight. Over on the Blue Team Ramsay lost his cool on Robyn for calling all of her co-workers “baby.” More F-bombs ensued.
8:46 p.m. – Raw duck. Raw pork. Ramsay kicked the Red Team out of the kitchen and told the Blue Team to finish their dishes. Looks like the Red Team is on the chopping block!
8:55 p.m. – The ladies on the Red Team lashed out at each other while deciding who was responsible for their humiliating loss. The bickering continued in front of Ramsay. He checked his watch before telling the Red Team that they needed to listen and they were “pathetic.”
8:59 p.m. – The first nominee on the Red Team was Manda because she missed three pork dishes. The second nominee was Barbie for cooking raw duck. Ramsay eliminated Manda! His parting words were, “You’re a hard worker, but you’re not ready to lead.”
