His family cooperated in the making of the movie, and offered Murray access to their home movies. His sister, Kate Ledger, spoke lovingly of her brother as did Ang Lee, who directed him to an Oscar nomination in 2005 for “Brokeback Mountain.” While Ledger lost that race, he would win posthumously in 2009 for his acclaimed performance opposite Christian Bale as Batman’s nemesis, the Joker, in “The Dark Knight.”

The 90-minute film will also include interviews with Matt Amato, Ben Harper, Emile Hirsch, Djimon Hounsou, Naomi Watts, and the Ledger family.
