
On the eve of this year’s Indie Spirit Awards, Film Independent announced that it has renewed an agreement with IFC to air the kudocast until 2020. This year’s festivities take place in a tent on Santa Monica beach on Saturday, February 25 and will air live beginning at 2 p.m. PT/ 5 p.m. ET. This year’s hosts, Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, are long-time collaborators who just wrapped up an acclaimed run on the rialto in “Oh, Hello on Broadway.”

In making the announcement,Film Independent President Josh Welsh said, “IFC is the perfect home for the Film Independent Spirit Awards. They’re smart, irreverent, funny, and just crazy enough to do a live broadcast from a tent on a beach in February. We’re thrilled to be renewing with them and look forward to making mischief together for three more years.”
