Jennifer Lawrence movies ranked: How does ‘Mother!’ compare to ‘Silver Linings Playbook’?

Jennifer Lawrence‘s career hit a pinnacle in 2013 when she accepted the Best Actress Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook” (2012). Following that triumph, the superstar appeared in several blockbusters and critically acclaimed films, including Darren Aronofsky‘s “Mother!” (2017). We recently ranked all of Jennifer Lawrence’s greatest movies from worst to best, so click through our photo gallery above to find out how “Mother!” compares to her other hits.

“Mother!” is the latest film from Aronofsky, who earned a Best Director Oscar nomination for “Black Swan” (2010) following a career of intense, fever-dream movies like “Pi” (1998), “Requiem for a Dream” (2000) and “The Fountain” (2006). Lawrence’s performance as the unnamed mother earned her many critical accolades, including Justin Chang (Los Angeles Times), who raved, “We are with Lawrence every step of the way … the drama plays out almost entirely in the actress’ extraordinary face.”

Besides her Oscar victory for “Silver Linings Playbook,” Lawrence scored three additional bids for “Winter’s Bone” (2010), “American Hustle” (2013) and “Joy” (2015). Might the 27-year-old soon be on her way to receiving her fifth Oscar nomination? For that to happen she’ll first have to be feted by her favorite organization the Golden Globes, which have given her three trophies over the years. According to Gold Derby’s exclusive predictions, Lawrence currently sits in sixth place in our Golden Globes rankings for “Mother!”
