Kechi Okwuchi performs on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals 2: Plane crash survivor brings the tears with ‘Don’t Worry About Me’ [WATCH]

Plane crash survivor Kechi Okwuchi performed Tuesday night during the Semifinals 2 episode of “America’s Got Talent” 2017. Back in the Quarterfinals round Kechi impressed the judges by singing Katy Perry‘s “By The Grace of God.” Did she once again blow the roof off the Dolby Theatre with her rendition of “Don’t Worry About Me” by Frances? Watch Kechi’s “Americas Got Talent” recap video above from NBC’s reality TV show.

All four “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel — jumped to their feet at the conclusion of Kechi’s performance, making her one of the rare Semifinalists to earn a quadruple standing ovation. Perhaps the best comment of all came from Mandel, who admitted, “All I wanna do is I wanna hug you and I wanna hold you.” That’s rare praise indeed from the man who’s infamously afraid of touching other people. “I don’t have words,” Mandel added.

Mel B teared up when she declared that Kechi was “so special,” Cowell noted that this was Kechi’s “best performance by a clear mile,” and Klum concluded the emotional critiques by stating that Kechi “ruled the stage today like a queen.”
