Mandy Harvey performs on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals 2: Deaf singer impresses with original song ‘Release Me’ [WATCH]

Deaf singer Mandy Harvey performed Tuesday night during the Semifinals 2 episode of “America’s Got Talent” 2017. Back in the Quarterfinals round Harvey impressed the judges by singing an original song called “Mara’s Song.” Did she earn even more raves this week for her performance of her original song “Release Me”? Three of the “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Mel B — gave her a standing ovation, while Howie Mandel signed “applause” from his seat. Cowell, who anointed Harvey with his Golden Buzzer back in the auditions phase, began the critiques by comparing Harvey to the first time he ever heard Adele. “I remember thinking, this girl is gonna be a star,” he revealed. “And that’s exactly how I just felt just then.”

The other judges continued the accolades, with Mandel declaring that Harvey “transcends hearing,” Mel B admitting the song was “more powerful than you could ever, ever imagine,” and Klum noting this was her best performance yet, even praising her for using sign language during the performance for the first time.
