The 90th annual Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 4, 2018. In the 90 days leading up to Oscar Sunday, which will once again be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, a slew of precursor prizes will be handed out at various cerermonies. While the last of these will be the Indie Spirit Awards a mere 24 hours before the Oscars, those nominations are announced in late November.
Prior to the Jan. 12 deadline for Oscar nomination ballots, the Critics’ Choice Awards and Golden Globes will have taken place. The BAFTA Awards will have announced nominations as will the actors, directors, producers and writers guilds. And the major critics groups already will have weighed in with their top picks too.
Below, we detail these key dates.
